The Leader of Wyre Council, Councillor David Henderson, and County Councillor, Andrea Kay, joined the McCarthy and Stone team earlier this week for the grand opening of the brand new show complex at the housebuilder’s Burrstone Grange Retirement Living development in Thornton-Cleveleys.
Councillors Henderson and Kay joined McCarthy and Stone representatives and guests to mark the opening of the development on Poachers Way. The Leader led the celebrations to commemorate the unveiling of the fully furnished show apartments with an official ribbon cutting; and he raised a toast to the new development, which is now open for public viewings.
The Leader of Wyre Council, Councillor David Henderson, said: “It was a pleasure to officially open the show complex and to see first-hand just what a fantastic set-up they have at Burrstone Grange. Living independently and securely is extremely important; and, with a growing number of people reaching retirement age, I’m delighted developments such as this are being built to provide older people in Thornton-Cleveleys with a number of options to make the most of their retirement years.”
Thoughtfully-designed to complement the local area, Burrstone Grange comprises a stylish collection of 42 one and two bedroom Retirement Living apartments for the over 60s. Prices begin from £149,999 for a one bedroom apartment, and £219,999 for a two-bedroom apartment.
Fiona Brooks, Regional Sales and Marketing Director at McCarthy and Stone, comments: “We’re very thankful to Councillor David Henderson and Councillor Andrea Kay for taking the time out of their busy schedules to visit our new development ahead of its public opening. We were honoured to present the first look at our finished show apartments, which highlight the modern designs and luxurious surroundings that will be enjoyed by all homeowners at Burrstone Grange.
“Our aim is to give those looking to downsize access to stylish living in the very best locations. Burrstone Grange is ideal for those who want to focus on enjoying an active lifestyle where all the external maintenance is taken care of, and minimal upkeep is required so they can devote more of their time to the things they enjoy.
“The development has attracted significant interest from local purchasers looking to downsize, but also from people coming from further afield who are drawn to the idyllic retirement lifestyle on offer here in Thornton-Cleveleys. With a significant amount of early interest and a number of apartments already reserved, we’re urging anyone interested in Burrstone Grange to come along to our brand new show complex which is open six days a week from Monday to Saturday to take a look around, or get in touch without delay.”
Facilities at Burrstone Grange include a Homeowners’ Lounge, ideal for socialising with friends; beautifully landscaped gardens in which to relax; and a convenient guest suite, should homeowners have friends or relatives to stay. A dedicated House Manager will take care of the smooth day-to-day running of the development; and a security entrance system and 24 hour emergency call points will provide added peace-of-mind.
Thornton-Cleveleys, with its 11 mile stretch of coastline, is a haven for downsizers. Burrstone Grange homeowners will benefit from being within close proximity of a variety of shops and local amenities, including a monthly farmers market. For those who wish to explore the surrounding areas, there are convenient regular bus links to Blackpool and Morecombe.
